What gather.ink is

Gather.ink is a free service that matches people into small writing or reading groups based on the preferences they submit. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use gather.ink (or older if required by the laws where you live). By submitting the form you confirm you meet that requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use gather.ink to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other members of your group or anyone else.
• Submit false information or impersonate someone else.
• Send spam, promotional content, or anything illegal through the service or to people you meet through it.
• Disrupt, scrape, or attempt to compromise the service or its infrastructure.

We may remove anyone from current or future matching for any reason, including violations of these terms, with or without notice.

Tips

Tips are voluntary and non-refundable. They are processed by Stripe; the amount you tip is what you'll be charged, plus any standard payment processing handled by Stripe. Tipping does not create any additional obligation on our part to you.

Third-party meetings

Group video meetings happen on Jitsi Meet, which we don't operate. Your use of those meetings is also governed by Jitsi's terms and privacy policy. We're not responsible for the conduct of other meeting participants.

No warranty & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that you'll be matched, that a match will be a good fit, that meetings will happen, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, gather.ink and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service or from interactions with people you meet through it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of gather.ink after a change means you accept the updated terms.
