Why gather.ink?

Writing is often lonely, but it doesn't have to be. The mission of gather.ink is simple: connect like-minded readers and writers so we can discover and create in community.

Who am I? I'm Dave, an MFA dropout (go Razorbacks!), erstwhile professional writer, and recent tech industry transplant. I got quoted in the New York Times one time, and I've paid the bills with everything from essays to young adult fiction. Most recently, though, I pay the bills as a product lead for a small tech company — and I write mostly for my kids. I've got a novel in the works, and it's lonely work. So while I procrastinated on the next chapter, I built gather.ink!
